The Ewedoos pair comes in two: a 5-inch inseam for a run in August, and an 8-inch that sits at mid-thigh for a class or a bike ride. Both have the wide tummy-control waistband, two side pockets deep enough for a phone, and on the three-pocket pair a third in the band. The newer four-pocket pair drops the seam down the front.

The padded cycling short is a different garment that shares the name. The wide waistband is built not to: two layers of knit with elastic between them, high enough to sit at the natural waist and hold there through a squat. A pair ordered a size too small rolls before a pair in the right size, which is the argument for taking the larger of two.

Which inseam should you order in Ewedoos biker shorts?

The 5-inch for a run in the heat and for a shorter frame. The 8-inch for a class, a bike, or anyone whose thighs touch and would rather the knit did the touching. The card prints the inseam, and the waist and the pockets are the same on both.
